Videomicroscopy

Videomicroscopy allows us to examine the surface of artworks in detail at high magnifications, providing high-resolution images in real time. Using microscopes equipped with video cameras, this methodology allows us to observe the structure of the paint film, the texture of the support, the presence of cracks, lifting, abrasions or surface deposits, without the need to intervene by taking samples of the material the work is made of.
